Answers to your questions about the 50-day movement and faith journey with Jesus

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the dates for the challenge?

The 2026 Promise to Power 50 begins on Easter Sunday (April 5) and ends on Pentecost
Sunday (May 24).

Can I still enter after the challenge starts?

Yes. You can still enter anytime during the challenge.

What if I can’t finish the challenge?

We know life can get in the way. Do the best you can. There are no rigid rules.

When will I get my packet?

We will begin mailing out packets in early to mid March.

Do I have to run/walk a mile or kilometer every day?

No. The goal of the challenge is to cover 50 miles or 50 kilometers in 50 days. How you
distribute it is up to you. And you don’t have to cover the whole distance in one session. You
can break it up into multiple sessions during the day if that works better for you.

What if I can’t run or walk the distance?

You can do 20 minutes of daily exercise that suits your individual physical condition.

How do I join the Facebook encouragement community?

After you order your package, you will receive an email with the link to join the community. Only
paid registrants can join the group.

How do I track my miles/kilometers?

You can choose the method that works best for you. You can use your smartphone, computer,
tracking app, pedometer, pace beads, or count steps. There is a place in the booklet to enter
your progress for each day of the challenge.

Can I get a refund?

Check out our refund policy here.

Where do the proceeds go?

All proceeds go to support the ministry of Teens Opposing Poverty. It was founded in 1987,
incorporated in 2002, and became a 501(c)3 charitable nonprofit corporation in 2007.
